I am a half baked Irish/Hungarian online entrepreneur, freelance social community manager, and most recently a father. I am currently living and working, not in a nutshell (although it often feels like it), but in Vienna, Austria.

I was educated in Vienna and Utah, at the School of Audio Engineering and Brigham Young University. I lived years in Budapest, Hungary and Ireland.

As the owner of Design.Byrn3 I function as a social media consultant, SEO ‘expert’ (well, ‘knowledgeable person’ at least) and general web geek — while still engaging in the appropriate level of adoration for my lovely wife, entertaining my son, and keeping up with my movie addiction.
I work a lot with various content management systems, but Wordpress is my favourite one by a long shot.

Oh, and did I mention I am LDS (look it up, if you don’t know what that means and that I enjoy the delicious, cherry taste of Dr.Pepper and don’t feel right without updating my twitter status (Twitter.com/Byrn3), obsessively. Fathom – Using social networking tools

Fathom uses social networking tools in a variety of ways. Here are just a few of them: Social Media Experiment: In May we started an experiment to see if we could create an ongoing event and only promote it via Facebook/Twitter/social networks, so we started CT TweetCrawl, half happy hour and half networking, where we bring the event to local restaurants across the state. In just 3 events, we've built a following of 140+ people, with our last event's attendance at 35. WordPress 2.8 – What’s New?!

WordPress 2.8 is the latest installment of the WordPress platform, scheduled to be released on Wednesday, June 10. Millions of sites are powered by WordPress including the BBC, CNN, the NFL, the New York Times blogs, and that’s just a few of the big names. Ok, so there’s a new version. So what? There are a number of massive improvements which will make WordPress even easier to use than before, however most of the new features are under the hood. Mark Jaquith, a core WordPress developer, is calling it the “Snow Leopard of WordPress” – in other words, on the surface, it doesn’t have much new but there are radical updates under the hood to make it run faster and give developers more options.
